Review on πŸ“· Celestron 93626 Universal Camera Adapter for Digital Photography by Ryan Bennett

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great idea, bad design

I really wanted to like this product but it failed miserably because the main screw slides freely through the top and making it impossible to attach them to anything. I must have just received the faulty one as I haven't seen others report this issue. However, the whole construction is not very functional either, it is made of very heavy thick metal, but it has to be clamped onto a thin telescope eyepiece. Also, it's not really designed for today's cameras as I would have to set the height to the maximum so I could center my Nikon Coolpix on it. Also a clumsy, inaccurate instrument. If I could redo it I would make the entire frame out of lighter but stronger plastic and tune it more accurately. I may have to make my own as this one goes back to Revain and I don't see any other options.

Pros
  • Package dimensions: 12.6 LX 12.0 HX 22.2W (centimeters)
Cons
  • Out of style
