These are the nicest re-chargeable heated socks I've owned yet. After correctly installing the battery into the sleeve and making the connection I was instantly treated to nice even heat throughout the toe box part of my foot. It is important to install the batteries correctly so as to not strain the connection wire from the sock.There is very minimal presence of the heating element that can be felt through the sock. This is a good thing, because if it felt like I had something stuck under my feet in my boot it would drive me crazy.The remote is simple and essential to have so that you do not have to pull your pant leg up to adjust the setting buttons which are located on each battery back. The socks both paired easily with the remote thanks to the VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND DIRECTIONS. Thank you Thank you to whoever wrote the directions in a manner that is comprehensible. Anyone who's ordered a lot of overseas items knows how frustrating some of these directions can be.It did take me a second reading of the directions to get the steps down correctly, but that's simply because I'm not the smartest guy in the room when it comes to being patient. Once the sequence is correct, the remote is an excellent feature to higher or lower the heat level and or to turn the socks off.I used these the other morning when it was in the low 40's here while riding my motorcycle (with boots) about 50 miles and on the lowest setting my feet were very warm. I purposely left them on for about 5 hours and noticed a reduction of one bar on the battery life. These will definitely come in very handy on days I work outside when the temps are much lower.
