Perfect for kindergarten lunch!

I bought two of these for my daughter who is starting preschool this year to give her an occasional hot alternative to cold sandwiches. And we love it! When I first got it I wanted to see exactly how long it would keep food warm so I filled it with boiling water, took the temperature and screwed on the lid and let it sit on the counter for 4 hours. Four hours later I checked the temperature which dropped from 200F to 135F. Still warm enough to eat! The longer I had them, the more types of food I realized they could be used for! Some examples: - Spaghetti - Mac and Cheese - Mashed Potatoes - Rice with Beans - Soup - Mini Corn Dogs (frozen) - Chicken Nuggets - French Toast - Fried Eggs - Fried Eggs - And much more The possibilities really are endless! To stay warm for as long as possible, I fill a thermos with hot water while cooking. You can boil the water before pouring it, but I've found it quicker and easier to pour a cup of Keurig's clear hot water straight in, and in my experience it works just as well! When the food is ready, I drain the water, put the food in it, close the lid tightly, and throw it in the lunch box. For "dry" foods like chicken nuggets, corn dogs, etc., I empty the thermos, dry it with a paper towel, and place a new, dry paper towel on the bottom of the thermos before putting the food in. to absorb excess moisture. I haven't had a problem with any of my thermos bottles in the months we've been using them and I would 100% buy them again!
