This pillow helped relax muscles tight from nerve pain. I didn't think it would work but tried it on a friend and bought it the next day. Yesterday at Walmart we saw some of them that used AA batteries, like these Christmas gifts, they have a button to turn them on and it turns on with a push. I bought both a pillow and a backrest from the store to try and this pillow is definitely better for therapeutic massage, others are good but this one is better. The Healthmate Forever Pillow runs on 2D batteries and I used it continuously for a week before the massage became very weak. I ended up replacing the batteries even though they weren't completely dead. I was surprised that on the low massage they lasted much longer than advertised. It's pretty solid, so keep that in mind. Otherwise great pillow.
