Super powerful and very well made. Mine came with no flaws at all. I've always wanted one this big and powerful and am very happy to have one to play with. Don't worry, I'm an adult and do play with magnets in a safe manner. Although I would not get this for a child, I can highly recommend it for an adult. I was apprehensive to purchase after reading a few bad reviews but my magnets came packaged very well and they are very strong even through a 2x4, lots of fun. I hung one from a fishing string and when I turned the 2nd one in my hand I could influence the hanging magnet from over 5 feet away.

I use the magnet in my science class. I recently made magnetic slime with my students and used this neo magnet to demonstrate how the slime works. The size made it easy to capture the magnet back from the slime after it was "swallowed”.

So, I would say that they are strong! I tried to put them together to see HOW strong they were, and when they got within inches of each other, it was like the Earth pulled the Moon out of its orbit. I've been using tiny (dime size) magnets to find studs, which can scratch the wall if you're not careful. It's also sometimes hard to find the nails that way. This magnet zeroed in on a nail about 2-3 inches away! Wish I'd had one years ago.

Bought it to remove an inventory control tag that came with us home from a shipping trip. It had more than enough power for that, and I'm sure it will come in handy for other things too.

Depends on what this is used for, but these magnets are very strong and might not be safe for your fingers when using it around metal objects.

I bought this to remove common security tags left on clothes from stores and this magnet was useless for that. Don’t get me wrong, this magnet is STRONG but it does not work for security tags as stated in the reviews. Overall I’m kinda disappointed

I use it to find and pick up sewing needles/pins/screws/nuts and whatever other tiny metal objects I can't find in my carpet. It'll pick up even the least magnetic of these items and make sure my carpets are safe and my gadgets can be re-assembled.
