This magnet is VERY strong. Before I even got into my car it stuck to it so I had to pry it off. I haven't been able to use it many times since it's still cold out, but I was pulling up bits of iron and metal from the river. This little guy actually did better than a supposed 1000 pound magnet, got a few finds though it is not strong enough to pull out items stuck in the mud, but i will use it as a recovery magnet for my new 360 Kratos magnet or when there is just little stuff to find and pull out. Didn't care for the cord that came with it. I replaced it with a heavier paracord, glued the screw in with some liquid lok-tite and wrapped the cord connection with some electrical tape to prevent any abrasions while using it.

I do wish the rope was a little bit longer. The gloves it comes with are a nice plus as well as the little bag. We were able to get a heavy 20 foot rebar pole out of the bottom of the pond! We have found lots of fishing lures and other random stuff. Great product and fun to use! Just be careful what you stick it to because it’s very strong and hard to pull off!

Right out of the box & to the creek. Got this for our 10yr. olds birthday gift. lasted all of 7 tosses into the creek near our home and the magnet came right out of the eyelet. We were surprised this happened the entire magnet seemed to be decent quality for the price and more then enough power for our son. He is extremely upset to say the least. We have another magnet of a different brand that is 270lbs its been super handy and fun to tow around to pick stuff up with. That one for some reason seems to be holding much better than this particular one. It's a great deal, line, gloves ect. but the magnet itself has been a disappointment.

Tried to lift a couple small light things and it fell off before lifting. Maybe what I tried wasn’t magnetic enough? Or maybe it’s just a trash magnet.

I bought this to retrieve a lure that I lost and that alone was worth the price. Now that the primary job of the magnet was done, it was time to test it out. I stuck it to a steel rack at work at hung myself from it with a rope and it held me up no problem. I'm in the 200lb class.

I trolled around some heavily metal saturated canals in a kayak, got tons of hits but it isn’t strong enough to pull anything free from the muck. The magnet does not lift a 5 foot 8 lbs fence post it has to be on a completely flat surface or it won’t stay on the magnet. you won’t catch anything that’s 2xs the size of the magnet you won’t fishing poles yes but All steel poles no it’ll slide right off. We have used it at least ten times in the fast moving river behind my house and it works. Rope, knot and magnet all still intact. Magnet slightly rusted but we have pulled a bunch of stuff up. Only had one time where it wouldn't pull an item up but who knows what it even was.

This thing is tiny, like super small. I admit I didn’t read the dimensions before ordering but heck if they do a great job making it look much larger in their photos! Well done guys you got me.

This was my first magnet for fishing. I had it less then week. Second time out the magnet fly s off the clip that comes with it. So now I just have a rope with a clip.
