Saw a few videos on line about magnet fishing and thought I would give it a try, that is why I purchased this magnet and here is my findings.Pros.The package is nice, the rope is OK, and the bag and gloves. seem to be what you need. the gloves have a nice grip to them and the rope is small but long enough to do some great fishing.Cons -It would appear that the magnets are not as strong as most of the claims on Best Buy, it says a 400 lb pull. and I was able to lift a 20 lb weight with it, so that's nice, but when I tried to lift my 45 lb weight, it would not lift it off the ground without falling. So I am sure it will pick up small items up, but not quite the 400 lbs that's for sure.Overall.If you are looking to do some small stuff, or drain fishing, this magnet will work for you, its thin and will pick up at least 20 lbs. But if you are wanting a little bigger items, you will need to get a stronger magnet. I did purchase a couple from amazon, but they were terrible, I finally went to a magnet company for a relly strong one.So if you are going to be serous about it, check out the videos from the guys doing it and see where they got their mags from . that's what I did and now I have a super magnet that I almost couldn't get off my weight. lol. enjoy
