Something else in the ceiling fans

This is a nice fan. It is very quiet and pushes a lot of air through a normally warm room. to the desired effect. After reading other reviews I figured I could handle the install, this wasn't my first rodeo with a fan install. A few things I came across that might help others install this fan more easily. 1. Due to the thicker wiring in my house, it was quite difficult to get the wiring and nuts on the remote around the mounting bracket and still mount the remote receiver in place. . and also close the hood. I finally figured out that you need to route the wiring over the front bar over the mounting bracket while leaving enough slack to slide into the receiver.2. The blades are what others have described. Using the recommended magnetic Phillips tip on my screwdriver, it was relatively easy to line up the screw and holes.3. As I put the blades in, I turned it on and got a pulsing, vibrating buzz. I found some suggestions through a google search. In this case it was an old dimmer for my old lamp. Replacing this with a standard light switch eliminated the noise.4. There is an odor coming from the fan. Aagin, I looked it up on google. Some installers say there is an engine coating that should burn off after 24-48 hours of use. One said it took a week. I'm writing this right after installing it to remind me what I had to transfer, so can't test the smell part yet, although I'm hopeful. Hope this helps your installation.
