Review on πŸͺ› Wera 5052502001 889/4/1 K Rapidaptor Universal Bit Holder: Efficient 1/4" Hex Drive Tool, Extra Length of 2" by Adam Johnson

Great design and construction

I recently learned more about my 1/4 inch shank hex bits. This means I've mostly relied (for many years) on traditional discrete screwdrivers/wrenches/sockets etc. Now, with the quality, variety, and convenience of these hex bit sets, I'm expanding my inventory of tools in this area. This quick change bit holder adapter is by far the best design and most functional I've seen. I've even used it as a 1.97" (50mm) drill bit extension by attaching the keyless chuck to my 1/4" Bosch PS41 impact wrench (Photos 1 & 2). I haven't used it long enough to make any longevity observations. But judging by the other Wera tools I own, I know they are reliable as long as they are used the way the developers intended. I also intend to buy a 75mm or 100mm Rapidaptor universal bit holder, which is also great as an extension for a short keyless chuck with an impact wrench. Also, my tool budget is centered on a Wera Kraftform 816 RA bit holding ratchet screwdriver to add to my tool arsenal. I've included photos of different chuck configurations (keyed and keyless) to give some food for thought. IMHO a worthwhile investment.
