My 17 inch HP workhorse laptop just retired. Since I don't have a battery, I thought it was the power supply. I ordered one based on my machine ID. It was the wrong connector size for this laptop. I returned it and bought a second one to confirm it was for my car. This one doesn't work either! Sent back and found universal AC adapter for Belker and EUREKA laptops, contains a note for my system. I'm also a computer consultant and occasionally need to troubleshoot a client's power supply. This tool will work so well that I never know what model or brand of laptop I'll come across. Thanks.
