Pretty easy to install. I just removed the original plate and put this one in here. It took a bit of fiddling to get it in properly, but mostly because we were afraid of screwing it up. We have it and it looks great! Came with two sets of thumb grips. One was perfect, the other was ridiculously fat. But my son didn't care and turned them on on the guest controller! In general very satisfied!
