To be honest I wanted a quick and easy velcro to manage power cords, cables etc. I couldn't decide this one and the Velcro one - so I just bought both. LAUGH OUT LOUD! I think it's easier since I don't have to thread the velcro through the hole first - and I like that they're on strips. The other is on a perforated roll and really doesn't split that easily. I've read that some people have said they ripped etc. Considering the amount I got for the price and the fact that I didn't buy them to use again and again, just to wrap a few cables and you're done - I think they'll work for my purpose (and if one should break I can just use the other). If they tear easily - when I'm packing and unpacking something daily - or infrequently - I can see that would be a problem, but they work perfectly for my purpose.
