They are very well made, good value for their quality and very strong. The problem is that the supplied hex bolts are too short to make installation easier when using the correct spacers for 1" pipe. The length of the studs is suitable for use after the fasteners are pressed in, but they are too short to facilitate assembly. (or even maybe for me). I solved this by buying 2 10-32 x 1.5" bolts, then using those 2 longer bolts to loosely mount a mount, and then tightening the mount with large vise pliers (or slip-joint pliers, if any) pressed around the pipe have an assistant). While holding the strut partially compressed so that one side was close enough to install the original screw, I removed one of the longer screws and replaced it with the original screw. Then I tightened it almost to the end. Then he tightened the vise again until the bracket was almost completely closed on both sides. I then removed the second long screw and installed the second original screw while still holding everything with pliers. Voila! You can use a flat rubber pad as a spacer between the shackle and the vise jaws so they don't damage the surface of the shackle. After doing all this for each mount, they are very tight and look great.
