These were the best gloves I have ever found for removing radiant heat from my crucible furnace when melting iron. At these temperatures, the skin does not cut (it immediately begins to smoke and catch fire if left for more than 6-7 seconds). The aluminized back reflects heat, and something like lifting tongs is usually fried in it. Blue aramid fibers don't like to bend back and forth, and I've found that if you squeeze something that isn't round and has a large radius, the fibers in it break quickly. These don't last forever, but they do last the longest. I mean they are a good part of this complete breakfast. PPE ensemble.
