I haven't had this in a long time so these are my first conclusions after receiving the pen. Pros: Easy to install, definitely protect the pen from falling or damage. This is especially important as Apple pranked us by only including a pencil point (didn't we pay enough for it?!). The magnetic charge works when the case is on. Double-tapping to switch from pencil to eraser works too, but I can tell it's *slightly* less sensitive. Cons: Silicone is smoother than originally intended. In some cases, this doesn't make my grip stronger and it's easier to just hold a bare pencil. I wish the silicone wasn't so slippery. It doesn't fit my UAG Metropolis case which I use unless with a magnetic holder (it doesn't matter to be honest but it just means it's thicker than you think when you buy a case, containing a Gen 2 pencil) Overview: In some cases, this thing can be really useful. If you travel a lot and think you need more protection, I'll get it. In the end, it will make or break your iPad experience. absolutely not. You can easily save your money as I think the Apple Pencil does just fine without it. However, it's also a small investment in your larger Apple Pencil investment.
