Love everything about this charger! This is actually the second one I've bought because I like having one in two different rooms. The Microsoft charger cost me $72 and didn't last as long as the brand's devices. The small suitcase is very beautiful and convenient. I plan to order another one soon to keep in my tablet case. Compact for travel, yes. There are no bulky stones here. I use it for my Surface Go. Loads pretty fast. However, I have learned to deal with it. Because during the charging process, after about 10 minutes of connection, my touchscreen starts to glitter. I tap the screen to select something and it looks like I tapped multiple times to open some other apps! I can easily use my keyboard and touchpad while charging. Product itself was ok but accidentally ordered the wrong charger as all MS Surface products have the same name! So be aware: this will NOT work on a Surface Go laptop. It lights up but does not charge - power is too low. I still had to send it back. Lesson learned, but item arrived well packaged!

Given the low price, I'm pleasantly surprised at the build quality of this charger. It's fairly compact and appears to be durable. The cord is good, with velcro. It keeps my Surface Pro 3 charged on my desk and that's all I need. I've only had the charger for a few days but will update this review if it fails.

I had a different type of cable with a detachable adapter. This part stopped connecting well and charging my Surface. So when I was looking for a replacement, I wanted one without a detachable cable. I have this one and it works great! It came with a cute case which I like too.

I think I should be grateful that I lost my Surface Pro charging cable. It was bulky and consisted of two parts: a 120 VAC pigtail and a transformer unit with a DC cord. I ended up with another power cord that worked but was 6 feet long (compared to the original which was less than a foot long).
