I bought this device to split an HDMI signal into two "full" signals at the same time. One for the TV, the other for the receiver. I wanted full Dolby Digital Plus for the receiver. The TV just needs a stereo. Unfortunately, the signal to the receiver is down-converted to the signal sent to the TV - stereo. I can set the firestick to only play Dolby Digital Plus and it works through the receiver, but the TV doesn't play any sound. You'll have to adjust the audio on the Firestick each time to go back to stereo. Spring.
