My search for a generic IEM ends with iBasso IT01s

I've been looking for a generic in-ear monitor (IEM) that I can use on my desk as well as for occasional travel. My budget started at $100, but at some point I realized that the combination of sound signature, sound quality, build quality, and comfort at this price point wasn't quite what I wanted. It wasn't until I increased my budget to $200 and then to $300 that I found the feature set I was looking for. After a lot of reading and research over the course of a few months, I've narrowed my choices down to Moondrop Kanas Pros, BGVP DM6, iBasso IT01s and Massdrop Plus Universal IEM. All headphones are great but based on the reviews I decided that the iBasso IT01s is the best fit for me. The IT01s has a sound signature that suits my taste in music, premium copper cable with silver shielding, 2.5mm balanced MMCX jack AND 3.5mm jack. mm, a wide range of silicone and foam ear tips, removable screens for easy cleaning, a sturdy metal carrying case and a simple but very attractive design. secure. I haven't tried deleting them yet as I don't need it. The IT01's are a bit big and don't fit my ears well, but they are light and comfortable. They don't completely isolate from outside noise, but I'm fine with that. The only concern I had prior to purchasing the IT01 was that I had read that these IEMs take 200 hours of development for optimal sound quality. I'm not sure burnout made much of a difference. This can make a difference for someone with a more alert ear or better auditory memory. I thought they sounded great straight away, at various times during and after recording. While the IT01s cost more than some of the other IEMs I've reviewed, I don't feel the need to replace the standard cable or earbuds that would likely be the case with other IEMs, adding to the overall cost. In this respect, I find the IT01s with the supplied accessories to be excellent value for money. Good job iBasso! So my search for universal IEMs ends with iBasso IT01s for now. Hopefully I won't get an update error for a while!
