My first tank change, watched a few videos to make sure everything was ok. This installation went smoothly and everyone was right that the compression rings were the hardest part to install. However, I have found a very simple and reliable method - just buy a thick PVC connector at your local grocery store that is the right size for this pipe. Then simply use this to hammer the ring in - it will be perfectly smooth with virtually no risk of ring breakage. Another thing I did to get the ring in place was lightly sand down that sharp edge of the tube with an aluminum file (or Dremel). The key is to wear it properly. I had to find something to make it work because they only send you as many rings as you need and they are very easy to break if you don't do it right. I deducted 1 star from installation just because I think the lack of parts makes installation difficult. They can't be very expensive - add a few more and charge us a dollar more! Everything else went smoothly like clockwork and I will be buying from them again.
