Love love love this flat iron. It works well on very thick hair and has an optimal temperature for all hair types. Can be smoothed out easily. The water tank is large so you don't have to keep refilling it. I straightened 75% of my daughter's hair and rounded the last quarter of the hair. I would recommend anyone interested in a steam iron to give it a try. It also makes the hair silky and silky. I'm African American and I have to say this is a great styling tool for our hair type.
