What you need to know about this hardware

sew ... a lot. My dedicated sewing iron died after about ten years of use. I decided to try this brand because of some of the features it promised. I'm satisfied so far. It doesn't produce as much steam as other irons but it works fantastic so I think they just found a more efficient way to steam the iron. I love that the steam stops when your hand leaves the handle. You can also turn off the steam by pressing the steam button. Temperature control Auto and Turbo only. I sew in cotton most of the time so I'll probably just use the turbo. I don't like that there is no on/off switch (despite the instructions) and that you have to turn it off every time. To be honest I'll probably reach for one of these clickers to make the lack of a power button less annoying. But what is this iron worth - is it really impossible to turn on this button? The video shows that it works great with pleats, so it will come in handy for a sewing workshop. The instructions that came with the kit are ridiculous. It's more like 3 lists from 3 different law firms of "rules of use so you don't sue us". Some were completely wrong (turn off) and some didn't make any sense (which icon means the surface is hot? And yes it's an iron, I hope the surface is hot). Mine was factory tested so it was wet inside - but if that means it will work when I get it - great! I hope this brings me another 10 years of fun in my sewing workshop.
