Works best in headsets

Bought these for index base stations and they work great. They're pretty tall and pretty stable. Lots of adjustments to get the right angle.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Works great, loves portability

Well designed and works great for my setup. I have to put one on the counter but it fits there perfectly too. I can take them off if you need more space when the guests arrive.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Useless features

Will I Buy Again: Virtual Reality

In the future I plan to buy more base stations for more accurate tracking and will definitely buy them again. They do exactly what they say and are very easy to set up.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Lots of Stuff

Same problem as everyone - no ball joints!

Description says: Adjustable ball head. The kit includes special fasteners. When you install base stations, you want them to be at the right angle. They seem to be left out for everyone unless you contact and ask about it. Not cool.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Upgrades

Missing ball joints

Supposed to come with 2 adjustable 1/4" ball head mounts. After reading all the other reviews, this seems to be a common problem. "Sending things in, folks? Why is this still a problem? UPDATE: Contacted the company and they supplied the missing ball joint straight away, no questions asked. The struts work reliably.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Update available

Much better than most stands

This product is amazing. One of the best features is the clamping mechanism. Most VR base stations have a locking mechanism that has to be unscrewed to release, and conversely this can make it harder to get the right height as you have to hold it down a bit longer. With this system you simply open a tab, lift it to the desired height and close the tab, it only takes two seconds.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some problems

Cheapest VR pod but fragile

This VR pod does not match the picture. This one has different clamps than the $42 (which is weaker). Try to install it as far away from the playground as possible, as it may wobble and interfere with tracking. I wanted to give this product one star because I received a used tripod with broken clamps, but I got a new replacement with no problems, so 3 stars.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
