Nobody needs braided cables. Whatever cables come with a decent power supply can be easily routed in a way that doesn't impede airflow in a good case. But they look a lot better. And they are more flexible and easier to use than standard cables. The build quality I had was pretty good; The ends of the power adapter fitted my Seasonic perfectly and the connections at the ends of the cables were pretty solid. Ultimately, this is a small vanity expense, so I can't really call them "worth" as their actual electrical performance isn't that good. are different than the cables that came with my PSU but I'm definitely happy with the purchase and will definitely be using them again on my next build.
