This watch was a surprise purchase. It's actually very comfortable and not bulky at all with all its gimmicks. I would forget I even wore it. Hiking, fishing, camping, cooking, no problem. I didn't carry any fishing tackle. I just attached it to my backpack. I was only wearing a parachute harness. I love the idea that if I get lost in a remote area I could survive using just my watch! The thermometer is shown in F and C for clarity only. The white and black dial helps you read the time in low light, and there's a built-in backlight in the dark. Be careful with the latch/clip. If he pinches you, you'll have uncomfortable marks on your wrist for a while. If you've done this once or twice, you'll be careful when putting it on. I would suggest buying this watch if you need survival gear. I couldn't find anything similar. And it keeps a good time.
