I have a black cat with sensitive skin and seasonal allergies that cause her to lick her tummy and hindquarters A LOT in warm weather. He licks and chews until there are white spots all over his body. This year was so bad I caught myself calling him Mr. Polkadot. I started giving him a few of these lysine treats every day (even twice a day because he was begging for them) and after a few weeks he started licking less and his hair started to "pea" his hair cover. I've put antibiotic ointment on some spots where he seemed to be chewing too hard (tiny crusts), but other than that I attribute his recovery entirely to those lysine treats.
