Edit: After using these headphones for a few months they have become my favorite headphones. The accuracy is superior to anything I own, including several headphones that cost twice as much. Unlike another reviewer who said they're "just music," I use them for everything: music, YouTube, voice conferencing, video games, phone calls, etc. It makes everything sound better. However, I had a love-hate relationship. The relationship with them when I first got them was for comfort, but I've since found a way to permanently attach the Bose Quiet Comfort 20i earbuds to alleviate that issue. (I cut the tip off the two headphones that came with JVC and used the grommets to create a larger contact surface for the larger Bose earbuds to clip to.) The Bose earbuds sound my opinion also better as they isolate more noise. , and I don't have to remember which color goes with which ear. The shape is only suitable for a specific ear. I still think the cable that came with the unit could have been of better quality, but I think JVC thinks that if you're paying hundreds for an IEM you'll still buy your own aftermarket cable, and they needed where - something to reduce costs. I had the same audio issue that I previously reported with some aftermarket cables. However, this is much more common with standard cables. Overall, I can't find any faults with these headphones, which is why I'm upgrading them to 5 stars. Original Review: The sound coming out of these little headphones is like nothing I've heard before. . I've bought many headphones in the $200-$600 price range and this one sounds better than all the others without a doubt. If you're looking for amazing sound, you've got it. However, I'm deducting points for two things: 1) The earbuds were uncomfortable to wear no matter which tip I used. However, as a Bose QuietComfort 20 owner, I've found that both the small and large 20 earbuds fit these headphones and stay up surprisingly well (the middle ones detach), with only a slight loss of sound. They still sound better than anything I have, only now they're more comfortable. 2) The cable appears to be unshielded. When I try to use this in conjunction with my Pyle mic XLR to USB signal adapter I get intermittent hissing in my right ear even though I have my mic muted. It seems to be picking up EMI from the USB cable. I don't have this problem with other headphones. Sounds good when I use these headphones in combination with an FX-Audio DAC on another computer.
