I bought these pens for my boyfriend and I to draw on as we love the sound of calligraphy pens (any ASMR?) and wanted to learn how to use them. After looking at the individual pens I decided we needed a few different shape/size nibs and opted for a set of 4 pens which was more beneficial for each pen. Each pen comes with two ink cartridges (one red, one black), a nib, a body, a cap and a plastic pipette for cleaning the nibs. The cartridges are easy to install; If you insert it into the pen and then gently press it a few times, the ink will flow towards the pen, but don't press too hard or you'll make a huge mess. Some pens initially had trouble getting ink to all of the pen's channels, leaving gaps in the lines, but they eventually began to work properly. Additional cartridges are widely available and easy to swap out. This set, a notepad with calligraphy paper and a bottle of wine, is a great night out for two 30 year olds acting like 80 year olds! They are also a good starter kit for juniors.
