I bought this for my 6 year old for Christmas. It was on sale so I jumped at a $100 deal. I had read mixed reviews so I was ready for a halfway decent dollhouse and some minor detail issues. I was wrong. I open the package, there are many parts. They all appeared to be alive and in good condition. I was ready somewhere, this house was poor - far from it. To be honest, the composition and strength of this dollhouse has more to do with the skill of the person assembling it. It's difficult if you don't know how to pay attention to details and follow instructions. Lucky for me and my husband, we are architecturally inclined. Take your time, look carefully at the photos and use the Amazon image as a reference. You'll be fine. This home is nice and solid, and the elevator is such a nice touch! I can't wait for my daughter to see it!
