I bought these a while ago and I've been wearing a spike on my back for a few months and it's worked great for me. I've had my septum for about a year and a half and only started changing it a year after getting it and I've only recently changed it for the third time and used a U-shape with no balls on the end to see if I can flip it because I have small nostrils. I've had it for about five days and I'm starting to get some kind of infection or irritation. I don't know if it was the embellishment or how it was designed because it only hurts on one side, but the side it hurts is the side where the ring always ends crooked. Maybe it's the position. All I know is that most of the rings that come with the set are too small for me personally. This would be a good first purchase but if you ever want good septum rings I personally started buying from Spencer's and Hot Topic and piercing salons because they have the best quality and you never know what you have stuff you can find online to buy. Be careful what you buy and always wash your hands and clean your jewelry before changing it! I can't stress this enough! And don't touch or play with it if you've just pierced it.
