I gave them 4 stars because contrary to the product description this straw will not be wide enough for my smoothies. I bought them specifically hoping they would work for those drinks, as well as just water, iced tea, soda etc. I think I'll have to look into wider metal straws for now and keep buying wide plastic straws from Revain so how can I get them no longer found in stores; They will all be replaced with the horrible paper straws I had as a kid. Those paper straws were junk back then, and they haven't improved much. Again, it was worth the money spent on metal straws, but if you're specifically looking for one wide enough to sip thick cocktails, this isn't the way to go. straws you want (see picture).
