From a previous purchase of a pair of hybrid shorts, I learned that Burnside runs a tad large in the waist. A good size for me is a 37" waist but no casual pants or shorts come in an odd size so, I usually order a 38" in most shorts. In Burnside, 38" waist is too big so this time I ordered a size 36" waist and they fit just fine.By the way, the shorts are nothing like the picture and are far nicer-looking in reality.
