Review on CTEK 56 304 Comfort Connect Extension by Jason Ampongan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Poor connector quality, this cable cannot be relied on without DIY repair.

***See update at end*** I have a CTEK battery tender on my shelf and am using this extender to get to my car via the CTEK cigarette lighter adapter. About a day later I find the lights are blinking which indicates a bad connection. I found a problem in the connection between the main unit and this cable. The clips are tight, everything is clean and tight, but if there is a malfunction, the slightest touch restores the connection, but after a while it falls out again. It is not known why the connection is dropping as it passes through a completely untouched area in a very clean garage. The convenience of the extra length is great, but the reason for this is to support the battery and it doesn't do the job. Relying on it to keep your battery charged will lead to frustration when it's prone to random failures like this one. I do not recommend. UPDATE: I unplugged the Comfort Connect cable and very carefully applied conductive paste (Ox-Gard) with a toothpick to each of the two sleeves of the jack and then plugged it back in. This solved the problem and now the connection is stable and the device works fine. Poor build quality but easy to fix.
