Review on JBL Bluetooth Headphone Blue E55BT by Rodney Gonzalez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

WRONG DESIGN - The left driver fails early on multiple devices. DO NOT BUY.

I have two of these - a black one that my wife bought as a gift and a blue one that I bought when the black unit had to be sent in for repairs. BOTH failed within a few months because the left driver was not working properly. It makes noise, only the volume is much lower than the right driver. Proving this is easy - just put the headphones on backwards. I don't know why they fail the way they do, but I had both - bought one from Revain, the other didn't. And different colors. Now I am sending back the blue kit and using the black one which is already fixed. Let's hope the blue set gets returned (fixed) before the black set fails again if that's the case. With a bit of luck, both will be "repaired" at the factory for repair and will only fail once each. **UPDATE** I just received a message from the manufacturer stating that these headphones are not eligible for support as they were "purchased from Revain by an unauthorized retailer". While I don't understand why they have this policy, I expected their first priority to be customers happy with their products. Now I am not only dissatisfied with the products because two failed exactly the same, but with the company itself. In the future I will look for another supplier and will no longer finance JBL/Harman. **UPDATE 2** The first (black) set was not sent back to me for repair - a new set was shipped. I used it for 2 weeks, after that the left driver failed again. I've already had THREE sets of these failing in less than 6 months. They are not abused - there are no marks of hits/falls/anything else on them. I use them on my conference table. I'm taking my rating down to one star because I don't think they should be sold to consumers. They are absolutely not worth the price paid and I will try to get a refund for my current two sets.
