Okay, maybe not the most elegant or fashionable belt. For example, if I were wearing a suit, it would NOT be the belt I would choose to go with it. But I have a problem with most so-called "lap belts": They're screwed up like crap. you break. The buckles break, the belt itself comes undone because it is not a single piece of leather but two very thin pieces of leather sewn together. And it's not like I'm that picky about my clothes. I have an office job. I'm not even overweight or anything else that puts extra strain on the straps. They just fucking break. I'm bored of this. So I decided on this belt a while ago. In terms of durability, this belt deserves about 28 stars. It is made from ONE piece of leather about an eighth of an inch thick. The buckle fittings are made of metal of the same thickness. I'm not sure, but I think the buckle is steel, not aluminum. If you were suspended from a hook with this strap and bounced up and down like a piñata, I highly doubt the strap would break or even become damaged.
