Just received my RockDoves today. It was pretty much an "eeny, meeny, miny moe" selection of these slippers over another pair, and I'm so thankful my finger pointed to these! Why, you ask? Well, because my feet are in pain -- severe pain -- all the time. They came from the factory with some structural defects, but it never really caused me problems until my late 50's. I went to one of the top foot surgery specialists in the country, and I reluctantly agreed to let him reconstruct ("fix") my left foot to eliminate my pain. Only problem was, he let a resident do the surgery instead of doing it himself -- a resident who had never done major surgery before. So now a minor foot problem has been "reconstructed" into a crippling, agonizing set of problems, and standing up for more than 2 minutes is unbearable. I'm telling you all this so you'll understand why the choice of slippers can seem like a life-changing thing to me.My last slippers were better than most, and I had added two memory foam insoles to the foam padding they came with, but it didn't make much difference. After receiving the RockDoves today, I tried them on right away. When I stood up in them for the first time, the reduction in my pain level was HUGE! It was, in all honesty, down to about 20% of what it was 5 minutes before. I'm so thankful for this company and the hard work they obviously put into designing these slippers. For most folks slippers aren't really an important part of their lives, but for a guy like me something that cushions my feet enough to alleviate most of my pain means I can enjoy life without being always focused on how much agony I'm in. I like to offer a sincere "Thank you" to everyone who had a hand in this! And if you're considering these slippers, ask yourself this: If these slippers can feel so comfortable on my mangled feet, how amazing would they feel on yours?
