Best art practice paper for the money I've found.

Well, this is not high-end paper, I have to say right away. If you want to make a really beautiful piece of art I would suggest other options. This paper is ideal for art and study or for classroom use or for children. really only need to throw away practical materials, this material is cheap, there are many, "500 sheets", the weight is good enough, the tooth is quite soft, it is very "dry" paper, if it makes sense, consider colored paper. but it's not exactly construction paper. It's definitely better than printer paper, at least twice as heavy/durable and actually has some artist grade grit/tooth. I've used high tech pilot pens on this paper, fountain pens, dip pens, white jelly rolls, they all work well with this paper. Copic is a bit translucent on the other side, but the bleed isn't huge. Haven't noticed it bleed into the paper underneath yet, but I rarely have more paper underneath the sheet anyway. Pencils work well with it, I don't think it has enough teeth to get really good shading, graphite doesn't hold the pencil that well. like sketch paper or regular drawing paper, but it's good enough for sketching and sketching. Not great for pastels of any kind, Conte is an exception. Suitable for charcoal, but in general I'd look elsewhere if that's your main medium. I'm not very good with wet materials, I've had some success with super dry watercolors just to add some color to a painting, but no more than that. I haven't tried colored pencils or a regular cheap office style pen. It has a slightly wavy, uneven surface, but that's to be expected with such cheap loose paper, it's not very noticeable. doesn't matter or effect I use it as exercise paper. The tone on it is really nice, it's not as dark as Strathmore but still captures the white highlights very well, I really appreciate its warm creamy tone. All in all it's worth getting, it's cheap, it's a lot, it works well for most things related to learning art, would definitely recommend.
