I have suffered from flat feet all my life and needed special arch supports, heels, flat wedges. Recently, such things have become more popular and effective. Now I have developed plantar fasciitis in one foot. Buying this pair of shoes combined everything into one, so I was willing to spend the money (the most expensive shoes I've ever bought). The heel cup is well supported and the insole is very comfortable. Not sure if it will hold up my 2XL frame for long but they are only worn on special occasions so should last a long time. Oh they precut the corners of the heels so no need to wash them. Nice gesture. In particular, my pair had small spots of black paint in one boot. Hopefully wipe with alcohol, but be careful not to remove the tan color from the lining. By the way, the brown inner lining also sets a good accent.
