The product description says "[4K HDR video output] The cable supports video resolution up to 4K @ 60Hz for ultra-clear and vivid video." Connecting this extension cable between a Dell laptop and an HP G2 Thunderbolt docking station, the monitor connected to the docking station was not receiving a video signal. I tried all four possible cable connection combinations (ie each end of the cable in each of its two orientations) but no video signal came to the monitor. As soon as I removed the extension cord and plugged the docking station directly into the laptop, the video signal returned to the monitor. This cable might be good for data transfer (I haven't checked because without video it would be useless to me as well) but not for video.
