It makes my skin feel sparkling clean and seems to do it good without drying it out. I am 65 years old with dry skin and use it in the morning before showering. It has no odor that I can detect. I don't really know if this is affecting my skin pores as I have used other products (moisturizers) that may well counteract a reduction in pore size and I use a DHC olive oil cleanser at night due to dry skin. Both the Pore Cleansing Oil and the Olive Oil Cleansing Oil have proven to be great products for my skin.
