Bought this belt for my husband so he doesn't have to take it off at airport security. He didn't have to take it off at Hartford-Springfield or Philadelphia airports. However, he had to take it off at Bermuda airport, despite telling them it was plastic. Find out. He said he would buy this belt again and again because it is so comfortable.
