I have to say that to my chagrin I had to return this item. The idea is GREAT. But our son was so scared of pinching that he was too hysterical to continue using it after the first night. Maybe he wouldn't care if he was younger when we started. But he was 1.5 years old when he accidentally got out of his crib by himself while my dad and I were going to work in the morning. We found him playing in his room. It's not obvious that we wanted this to happen on a regular basis so we figured this product would help. But like I said, after the first night he was too upset so we had to stop using him. Also, the mesh was better quality than some others on the market and actually too thick for our wall mounted monitor to not see the crib. I don't know if our monitor would have worked with a "clear window" at the top of the screen, but if our son wasn't so scared we might try. I would happily pay $100 for this product if we could use it to keep our son in his crib and it would probably be worth every penny. I hope some others start using it sooner so their kids get used to being zipped in the crib. Don't wait until they are 1.5 years or older to try this. This might work better for you!
