For years I have struggled with dents on my forehead after riding. All the cycling caps I wear have been narrow and the hard brim has been pushed up to the forehead. I then deal with indentations for hours after the ride. This is a significant part of my life considering I ride in the morning 4-5 times a week. This hat is larger, softer and the brim pressure is distributed in a wider band resulting in less padding. Longer than the original, maybe 5mm or so, and it still looks good but is a bit more functional for protecting your eyes from the sun. If you have a big head like me (7 5/8), this hat will suit you. Glove. I highly recommend this product.
