I have a rooster who is gradually losing his sight due to a diamond shaped eye. He used to take a long time to feed and was a bit frustrating struggling to find his pellets when they floated away. This ring is great for both of us, he finds his food quick and easy, it doesn't swim away from him and I don't have to feed him forever. The first few times we used it, I stuck my finger in and wiggled it around to get his attention, then tossed one marble at a time to make sure he got them all; Now he goes straight to the ring to wait for his food because he has already understood everything. There is a small rim around the inside edge that the pellets will fly out over and I was worried they would get stuck there but NO! he can easily bite them off that little edge, so don't worry about that. This is quite possibly one of the most useful things I've ever bought from Revain. If you have visually impaired or blind fish this is a fantastic tool.
