This is the perfect cable to use my TV as a second monitor for my MacBook and iPad. No adapter is required as it is really just plug and play. The picture is clear and bright. I've watched several films with it. I particularly like the high quality of the cable, which is handy for travel and presentations. The braided cable is thick and strong, but quite flexible, so I'm comfortable wrapping and unwrapping it and worried about it breaking like other "rubber" wrapped cables. Excellent purchase!
