Backup camera on a 2012 Frontier

Installed on my 2012 Nissan Frontier. I set it up so that the monitor was always on while I was working, and wired the camera to the reversing lights through the trailer's wiring harness. I installed the camera to the license plate screw using the large washer to hold it in place. I had to bend the camera mount to align it properly, but the image turned out to be upside down. Through trial and error I managed to rotate the camera in the housing so that it was right side up. Pros: Works as advertised, good quality and low price. I haven't tried it in total darkness since living in the city, but so far the images have been quite visible at night. Although the display is only 3.5 inches, it doesn't feel too small. Scale lines are necessary in my opinion, otherwise a wide-angle camera would make it difficult to estimate distance. The image appears about two seconds after reverse switching, which is good enough. Cons: The instructions are completely useless. You identify the wires and that's it. There are no splice connectors whatsoever so you'll have to buy your own or solder the wires, which I did. Mounting the camera requires either drilling and screwing (screws not included) or inventing something like I did - helped here too the instructions don't. better served by license plate frame mounting unit and includes splice connectors.
