Opening the leather scissor case reminded me of opening jewellery. The case presents itself as a fine work of art or precision instrument. The packaging says "Made in Japan". What I like about these cobalt blue scissors: - They are razor sharp. - Excellent blade adjustment mechanism. It's a little loose at first, so I tightened it up a few notches. The adjustment nut clicks as it turns, making it easy to set the exact and perfect friction between the blades. This is the feature that sets them apart from my other professional scissors. Here are some photos of the cobalt, cobalt blue and this cobalt black models. This black actually looks very smooth (looks much better live). Cobalt black is my preferred color option (differs from what I originally wanted based only on product description photos). The company is based in the UK and I can see the address of their UK headquarters, but I don't know or see the address where it is manufactured in Japan. I really hope they are made in Japan. It feels like they are.
