Even a 5 year old can go from flat shoes with no wheels to heels with just a rear wheel or skates with two wheels to boot/skate in less than minutes. He has to put his socks in size 1 toe, which is the smallest size they offer. He does not care. He learned how to balance and convert on the very first day. I bought 4 pairs for my grandchildren.
