These pens are the ONLY ones I currently use for drawing mandala patterns on black painted canvas/stones. Pink and blue also work with white or lighter colors. When the paint is dry, simply wash away the chalk lines with a clean, damp sponge or cloth (no paper towels or tissues!). The pens are quite soft, so they need to be washed off completely. So be prepared to sharpen frequently to keep the lines sharp. I buy 2-3 packs at a time. Other chalk pens (or white pens) will NOT wash out completely. Try touching up what's left of the lines on your finished 12" x 12" mandala with black paint! What a bloody nightmare.
