For now I'll be using it for painting miniatures, not soldering, although I might use it for that in the future if I ever need it. It doesn't appear to damage the plastic, but it does hold the product fairly firmly. I like that there are 4 because I can use extra handles to hold pieces that need some drying time before dressing. The clamp that attaches to the table is nice and reliable, it works very easily and smoothly with no problems. The light has 3 different colors and you can adjust the brightness, which works well when I need to turn the lights up higher for streaming or lower at night. no assembly instructions. I don't usually use instructions when building a lot of things, so I haven't had any problems. However, someone less experienced with these things may miss things like putting plastic washers on top and bottom of the colored round part in the middle when putting a big screw in it to attach it to the vise clamp, affecting its durability or Cause may affect other problems. The mechanism for screwing the individual terminals with a small screw is also not very good. Basically it just pushes the metal bar of the clip against the side of the arm. I know things like this are probably done that way, especially if it's a cheap thing, but it can be a chore to put on and it takes a few times to get it right where it seems safe. There was only one rubber washer for the lighted magnifying arm and when screwed in tight enough the rubber pushes out almost entirely from under the arm, which doesn't bode well for its durability. I may have to find a better puck for him and possibly different hands if that solves the biggest problem described in the next section of this review. The magnifying glass inside the lighted part also wobbles a bit, so it's a bit of a squeeze and doesn't feel secure. The zoom doesn't seem particularly strong either and didn't turn out to be very helpful for my purposes, but it could possibly just be my own perception. Also, one of the reviews that made me buy it said the clips were magnetic, which made me very happy, but it turned out to be a review of a different product that isn't even on this list. This is not good, especially when you get additional 5-star reviews for another product that artificially inflates the star rating. If you turn it too tight, the bottom of the lever attached to the round piece of metal will start to unscrew and the lever will just flip over. The rotation you have to make to keep the arm staying causes a lot of rebound, making positioning difficult, especially when I'm drawing a small part in streaming mode and the camera needs to be zoomed decently.
