It worked well.
I had to modify the end piece that fits the awning because the resulting block was too big to fit my canopy. So I removed the new end fitting that is attached to the awning and then fitted the one that came with my awning. I removed the metal rod that came with my awning and then attached it to the new shaft of resulting blocks. I used epoxy. with harder around the wave. I wait 25 minutes for the epoxy to set. The modified block now works correctly.
